Zero emission cryptocurrency mine

Globally, the mining, or production, of Bitcoin is using tremendous amounts of electricity, mostly from fossil fuels, such as coal and natural gas. This is causing huge amounts of air pollution and carbon emissions, which is negatively impacting our global climate and our health. Bitcoin miners have emitted almost 200 million tonnes of carbon dioxide in the cryptocurrency's short history, researchers at the University of Cambridge have calculated. 

The Zero emission cryptocurrency mine is a project created by us at Standard offset along with our partners to not only combat this problem but to give people the opportunity to invest in reducing global emission while also gain amazing returns on their investment. 

The low emission mine is located in  Malanje, Angola and receives its renewable energy from  the Lauca, Angola hydro power project.  Lauca is a 2,070.5MW hydro power project. It is located on Kwanza river/basin in Malanje, Angola. It has been developed in multiple phases. The project construction commenced in 2012 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2017.  Because some of Our engineers and directors were involved in this project Standard offset is able to benefit from having a great relationship with the project owners. 

The hydro reservoir capacity is 533 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 6 in number. The penstock length is 2,000m. The project generated 8,600 GWh of electricity. The project is owned and operated by our partners Empresa Nacional de Distribuição de Electricidade (ENDE), Empresa Pública de Produção de Electricidade (PRODEL-EP), and Empresa Rede Nacional de Transporte de Electricidade (RNT-EP). 

Not only does this project produce clean energy but it also supplies electricity at one of the cheapest rates in the world which allows investors to gain higher profits than must cryptocurrency mines in the world are able to give their investors.
